OGDEN — Police have cleared the 2nd District Courthouse Thursday afternoon after a bomb threat was called in to the Weber Area Dispatch.
Ogden Police and Ogden Fire departments responded to a bomb threat at the 2nd District Courthouse at 1:11 p.m. No specific address for the court was given, and the district, justice and juvenile courts were all evacuated, Ogden Police tweeted almost an hour and half later.
A bomb-sniffing dog searched the courthouse.
Police gave the “all clear” at around 3:30 p.m., according to Geoffrey Fattah, the Utah State Courts communication director. The court has resumed all functions, including hearings for in-custody defendants.

Earlier, Fattah initially confirmed the 2nd District Courthouse evacuation at 1:30 p.m.
“We are in the process of evacuating the Ogden courthouse, again,” Fattah said.
This is the second bomb threat called in for the Weber County courthouse in a week.
Just after 9 a.m. Thursday, April 5, the Ogden Justice Court and Ogden’s 2nd District Court were evacuated after 911 dispatchers received the first report of a bomb threat.
Later that day, Ogden Police tweeted that the courthouses were clear, and the bomb threat was not credible. The building was searched by a bomb squad and a bomb-sniffing dog, police said.
